The Toll Cottage is over 200 years old and grade 2 listed. Fully refurbished in 2017 the cosy cottage has 2 bedrooms (a double and a twin) an open plan kitchen and living area and a separate bathroom (with shower over) and WC. The cottage is ideally located just a short walk from the centre of the lovely village of Hope which has all the amenities you might need whilst visiting the Peak District, including 3 pubs, 4 cafes, a deli, a farm shop, a bike shop and Spar. The Cheshire Cheese pub is opposite if you’re in need of a traditional country pub with open fires and great beer and food. The cottage is fully equipped with everything you need for your stay including bedding and towels and we also have secure bike and kit storage should you need it. There is off-street parking too.

The Peak District is perfect for all sorts of adventures; walking, cycling, running, paragliding, rock climbing and caving to name just a few and these are all on our doorstep. We can provide you with maps and advice and great eating and drinking recommendations. We’re also handy for Chatsworth, Bakewell, Castleton and its caverns, Buxton and Sheffield. If you are dependent on public transport Hope has its own train station (on the Manchester-Sheffield line).

We look forward to welcoming you to The Toll Cottage – if you have any special requests or questions please let us know.

Prices change according to season and demand but a 2 night peak season weekend costs £200, or £250 for 3 nights. Discounts and offers are available for last minute and out of season bookings, so please get in touch for the latest prices and availability.

Please note the cottage is not really suitable for young children or dogs due to its size, location and open staircase and hence we do not provide cots or high chairs.
